We recommend the Brother QL-810Wc wireless label printer with 62mm continuous DK tape (the rolls in the box work out of the box). It's the setup this product is built and tested on.

A Luma calendar on Luma Plus (for API access), any device with a browser, and a label printer. A phone hotspot serving your station and printer is a fully supported setup, so no venue Wi-Fi is required.
Any modern browser. On a desktop you print with one confirmation in the print window; on iPhone or iPad the badge goes straight to AirPrint from the share panel. Same interface everywhere.
